Designed around your goals
What it can address.
Acne scars
Fractional resurfacing supports smoother-looking skin by treating areas of uneven scar texture in a controlled pattern.
Visible pores
Improved surface texture and collagen remodeling can make enlarged-looking pores appear more refined.
Fine lines
Precisely delivered CO₂ energy can soften the appearance of fine lines and early creasing.
Tone & texture
Addresses roughness, visible sun damage and uneven-looking tone for a clearer, more polished appearance.
The technology
Fractional precision, personalized depth.
DEKA fractional CO₂ technology uses a 10,600 nm wavelength that is highly absorbed by water in the skin. The scanner delivers energy in a fractional pattern, creating microscopic treatment zones while leaving surrounding areas available to support recovery.
Unlike a one-setting treatment, intensity and coverage are selected for your skin, concern and treatment area. The goal is controlled resurfacing followed by gradual collagen remodeling—not an aggressive, one-size-fits-all procedure.
Treatment settings and candidacy are individualized after consultation.
Your treatment journey
Clear, considered care.
Prepare
Your skin and medical history are assessed first. Topical numbing is applied before treatment, and procedure-specific eye protection is used.
Resurface
The fractional scanner delivers controlled micro-columns of CO₂ energy across the planned area. Settings are individualized by zone and concern.
Recover & renew
Visible recovery commonly includes redness, bronzing and peeling over several days. Texture and tone continue to improve as the skin renews and collagen remodels.

Frequently asked
Good to know.
Is this a fully ablative CO₂ treatment?
No. NOVA offers fractional CO₂ resurfacing. Energy is delivered in a controlled fractional pattern rather than treating the entire surface uniformly. Treatment intensity is customized to your skin and goals.
What does recovery usually look like?
Recovery varies with intensity. A typical course may include redness and tightness on day one, bronzing around day two, and peeling through approximately days three to five. Many clients look noticeably clearer around day six, although pinkness can last longer.
How many sessions will I need?
We usually recommend starting with one treatment and evaluating the response. Deeper acne scarring or more advanced concerns may require additional sessions spaced appropriately.
When can I wear makeup?
Makeup should wait until the skin is intact and your provider has cleared it. Applying makeup too early can irritate healing skin.
How should I plan for sun exposure?
Sun avoidance is essential before and after fractional CO₂ treatment. Follow the provider’s instructions for shade, protective clothing and sunscreen, and avoid scheduling around intense outdoor exposure or travel when possible.
A thoughtful note
Fractional CO₂ laser requires an in-person candidacy assessment. Tell your provider about medications, recent tanning or sun exposure, pregnancy, active infection, cold sores, abnormal scarring, pigment changes and recent procedures. Recovery and risk vary with skin type, treatment area and intensity.
